What can I say about the man, the myth, the fucking legend?! He is my best bro and my hero for his ability to resist the drink. There is no-one I would trust with starting a business especially one I dont have full 24/7 control over. in the 18 months leading up to and in business together I dont think there has been one major dispute. What area did u grow up in and how was it growing up there?
Bright - North East Vic. I really feel lucky to have grown up in such a nice town. Looking back, the freedom my friends and i were given was amazing. We were able to ride our bikes everyday rain hail or shine, dig dirt jumps were ever the dirt was soft enough and never get them bull dosed. I built a launch ramp in high school and to test it out we made a step up out of it in the school grounds and jumped it all afternoon, the teachers were all cool with it. Then we trailered it down to the Centenary park in the middle of town and jumped off it into the river for a good few weeks - never got told off, wild.
Who did u look upto when you first started riding?
When i first started riding i really looked up to all the older riders in Bright. There was some trails in mcfersons earthmoving yard, it was so rad watching those guys shred the jumps. Also my good friend Mark Mcdougle. He was a pro downhill racer who also raced BMX, he is a realy great guy to ride. As a kid growing up is was so cool to be able to hang out with a profestional rider and it realy helped better my skills. As for big name pro's it was Mike 'Rooftop' Escamilla, Taj Mihelich (will always be one of my faverites, Shaun Buttler (always loved his 360 one footers)
Favourite spot to ride?
Really like riding tight bowls, and a big fan of flowing trails? not that i ever get a real chance to ride/ Dig them these days (but i dream of finding the prefect trails spot right near my house one day - maybe i need to move ha.) I don't have a favourite spot. Riding new stuff i have never riden before with good friends will alway be the best thing too me.
