We have Just received the first Concept Designs for Wodonga Skate park upgrades – check it!
Council is currently seeking feedback on a draft concept plan for the Willow Park Skatepark which Convic Designs have put together.
Council is seeking feedback from users until 17th September. Feedback can be forwarded via email to mdeslandes@wodonga.vic.gov.au or contact the recreation department on 0260229 300 to discuss the plan with Council staff.
The following steps need to be achieved to make the skatepark extension happen:
1. Receive feedback from users on initial concept (underway)
2. Have formal support and adoption of the plan by Council – needs to be adopted at Council meeting and placed out for 28 days public comment
3. Source funds – currently no money allocated – users and council need to look at options including state grants, fundraising and sponsorship
4. Complete detailed design once funding has been secured.
5. Construct sections based on secured funding.
As you can see there are a few things to be done but we are headed in the right direction.
